The series of works, Ten Nights of Dreams (2022) was inspired by Soseki Natsume's novels, "Ten Nights of Dreams" and "The Heart," which reflect various levels of confusion, isolation, and identity crisis from the Samurai era (early modern Japan) to the westernized modern world. Each image delves into the visual language of Soseki's time to compare to my experience of leaving the homeland and becoming a stranger in other cultures. The cinematic approach of the work addresses the sensation of illusory absence, unfolding the beauty of solitude and death, and evanescent moments of the ordinary.
